11:37am: School
So, it's final week and I just got done with the exam I was stressing out the most over. And I'm still worried about my grade, though the test was easier than his other two this term. Who would have thought that world politics would be my hardest class?

I'm not terribly worried about my other exams. On my world religion exam, I need to make an 11 to make an A. Giggles.. Cultural anthropology I need to make a 29 to get an A. Chemistry I have to have a 60 on the final to pass the class.. and if I make a 60 I'll get an A.

Trying hard to make the best possible grades while at community college, should help my scholarship chances when I'm at the more expensive university that I end up attending next fall.

Next term I'm taking 19 hours compared to the 13 I took this one. Two more classes. I'm going to have to be well ahead of the game on papers and things, hopefully I don't pull my hair out.

School starts back on January 15th, so I've got a little free time. :)

Plans for the break:
Spend time with my sweetie.
Clean my closet and storage unit.
Get a temp &/or part time job for a little extra cash.
Finish unpacking all my book boxes.

Plans for today:
Get heat in my apartment.

5:25pm: 127 weeks
It's been 127 weeks since my last post here.

That's a little bit of time without an entry, but I was bugging someone about writing in their blog and they poked me back, saying that quiz results on myspace don't count as blog entries.

Blah. :)

So, here I am, back from outer space to try and post a blog again. What has happened in the last 127 weeks? I'm not going to tell you. If you really wanted to know, there are other ways to find me.

However, I will catch you up with my lovely fall (well, lovely except for the utility companies, they are not on my happy list).

I'm back in school. Next week is finals. Woot! I'm doing pretty well in all my class, all but one I can make a 60 on my exam and still get an A. The 4th I'm going to have to work a little harder on, but should still pull out an A.

It's Chattanooga State Community College, wanted to get my feet wet without a large outlay of cash. And I LOVE it. My major at the CC is "General Science Transfer", when I get to a big kids school I'm 94% sure I'm going to major in Anthropology. And perhaps history or religion or chemistry. I'll probably attend UTC next fall. With my credits from back in the day, I'll be graduating from the CC at the end of summer.

I'm living along now in an old, but really big apartment. It's nice, huge clothes closet with washer and dryer inside it. No pets, but several nice plants.

For those that don't know, my brother is over in Iraq, he'll be back next August-October time frame.

Newest news? I've got a fella. He lives over in Huntsvegas, but we talk daily. For hours and hours. He's yummy geeky and mine. :) And we're scarily alike in some aspects.. both of us own silver Christmas trees. He's a technical writer for a living, but wants to make a living just writing writing.

Enough for now, I've got my last paper to finish.

3:28pm: Still don't have internet at home. However, surgery was succussful and went fine. Am off the prescription pain meds and on Advil. Left the house today, will try returning to work tomorrow. Smooches.

7:08pm: Still without regular internet access. Have a shattered wisdom tooth, oral surgery on June 16th. All in all, in a pretty good mood recently when not in pain.

Miss reading about you all, but hopefully internet by the end of June.

10:23pm: Another infrequent update
I got chastised severely at Frolicon over the weekend for not updating this darn thing often enough, so here I am, making another... screw it... I'll post when I'm in the mood to. I'm not going to bore you with the same-old grind twice a week just so you lovelies can get your voyeur on. And yes, for once I took pics at the con, but haven't posted them yet. Stars, I haven't even got them from my camera yet.

And why, you ask? Why, of all people, am I being such a slacker? Well, first off, am a slacker, makes that easy. Two and more important, this is the first time I've slowed down since the 9th or so? Worked lots last week and came home from con, passed out, then got up and went to Huntspatch to visit with family, esp. brother, since he leaves to ship off to S. Korea end of this week. He's actually shipping out beginning of May, but has to go back to base and I can't take any more long road trips for a least three weeks or the boss man will go batty. And we wouldn't want that, this one is actually nice.

I baby-sitted my nephew Monday night, took him out to my Boo's house, where he romped with her kids and I chatted with her and hubby. Then, when we got home, he wouldn't go to sleep and when he did, only was down about 4 hours. Thank goodness about 5 am my Mom came to the rescue so I got another four hours of sleep before driving back and having to work. And currently keeping awake until da Goat gets off work. (Just for those curious, he still doesn't lj/blog and is not planning to.)

Lease is up at the end of May. Me and da Goat will be most likely moving into a friend's house, he's on the road most of the time. However, there is a small chance we will instead get a house down near Goat's new job. (Still cooking, new boss, won't be there so late, so happy for me too.)

Frolicon review? Well, it wasn't my favorite con ever, I have to admit, but a chuck of that was due to particular people and less to do with the con. I do miss buying boys to fetch me drinks at the slave auction from Fantasm though. Best luxury at a con ever. Any volunteers?

Flirted shamelessly all weekend and ended up with a possible date. In like the last 20 minutes I spent at the con with someone I barely talked to before that. Seems nice though and is based out of of Knoxville, so pretty close to the ol' Rox.

Anything else you need to know today? OOoooohhh... I have a plate of my Mom's lumppea and you don't. So feeling all yummy special like right now. :)

What have I been up to? Well, went to Chattacon and the Frolicon party. Been to Huntspatch a few times, have my car back in working order now, hurrah. My 'rents are swell for helping me out.

Speaking of the family, they are all pretty good. My brother has finished basic training and is now in advanced. The army will be sending him to Korea, still not sure where or if he can bring his wife and son or not. Rest of the family is doing well from what I've heard. If anyone is looking for a pet goat ( and I do mean the animal, not my roomie), let me know. My uncle is up to 37 and that is a bit too many for him.


What else? I'm being to get ready to move, lease is up in April and am looking forward to being in a new place. We have a definate maybe on where we're moving into, I'll let ya'll know more when I do.

Frolicon, da Goat, Aeromancer, Bishop and I are running the consuite. Somewhat. We're going to try and make it fun.

12:27pm: Happy Halloween, you crazy kids.
Another Halloween in Chattanooga. Saturday night, me and the roomies were convienced to go to the vamp thing here, I went as a mostly fallen angel, da Goat as an evil happy clown and JCace as Tragottie. Took over the city, flirted outrageously, the usual nonsense. Had my fav cigar, Macanudo Robust, couldn't tell you what verision, always forget to ask, know by look. Partway through the evening, I ditched the black wings, couldn't sit on the chairs with them on and perching sideways on a barstool isn't the best position after hours.

Tonight me and the da Goat are going to see Zombie Army (a local band), think I'm going to go as a pirate, perhaps looking for wenches. Who knows, might get buggy like that. I know I want to let my hair down for the next month or so.

My brother is on bed rest, but still considered in basic training, so has little in the way of something to do. They will likely give him at least two weeks in December at home, then he will finish his last three weeks of BT with a new class, then on to advanced training.

Brief pause, need to go switch my laundry over..... .... ... back, took my shower to, all squeaky clean now.

4:52pm: April to October
Yup, long time not to write anything or really be on the computer at all. Update? Uhm, sure, I'll try, least the high points.

My brother got hitched in May, joined the Army in August. Now three weeks before basic training ends, has three stress fractures in one hip. Where that is going is still up in the air.

New sis-in-law and nephew are pretty cool, I'm now Aunt Suzi to a 23 month old. Woot.

Best chick friend Jenn had her third/husband's fifth kid in August. He's in good shape and seems like a mellow kid.

Dated someone from June until about a week ago. Will give more details later perhaps in a friends only viewing.

Still living with da Goat and JCace. Lease is up in November, would love to move, but think that it might not happen.

Dad bought a motorcycle, my car is running again with the new alternator.

12:02am: An update
Have a cell phone now, more using as a phone book than anything, though I have talked to Mom and Pop on it some. It's still a shiny new toy right now, but I think it will end up more a phone book than anything. It's free anytime to call the 'rents, bro and his gal right now though.

Trying to be good diet and exercise until the wedding, least that was the plan. However, da Goat fixed this amazingly fattening meal for me and some people at the Barrel.

Work... I'm going a phase where it's driving me batty. I'm getting angry because people come in the store. Not good during a B1G1F sale. Then again, people have said I've been more angry than usual, I look like I'm glowering at people a lot. Don't know how to make it better either.

So, if any of you know a good, realistic way to handle stress and anger, let me know. :)

Computer is getting back in shape, got music on it again and my frequently used programs all set up.

9:57pm: The dress...
So, after four hours of shopping around Chattanooga, I finally found a dress that fit. Only $40 too, looks good on me.

Brought it over to Huntspatch with me for the Mom and me in Birmingham shopping date.

It's not dressy enough.... but I can wear it to my cousin's wedding at least. Yay.

One dress down, the hard one to go.

I'm in Huntsville, most likely until Thursday night, but it might be Friday morning, depends. Don't have to work until Friday pm.. and have to work Saturday pm too (grumble, grumble) but it's cause of the boss's wife's movement problems, so not that upset, just don't like working Saturday night. Customers wear on my nerves on the weekend. Stars above, do I need to get out of retail.

So, shopping all day w/ Mom tomorrow, wish me luck, yes?

9:13am: Three minute update....

Okay, the old computer dies at the same time I come down with the flu. Good Times, as the baby of my gaming group would say.

Fantasm, I owe you all an update on and when I get this scanner to work, have a few pics. I'll prolly post Jace's and da Goat's too.

I'm better now, have a new computer. I went and played NERO last weekend, that wasn't bad at all, think I might go back.

Have a reason to make a long post about something, but not entirely sure I want to.

I gotta stop staying up until 2am on days I have to open the next day. This is killing me. Argggh.

Okay, now off to work, hopefully I'll be able to at least some of the posts I missed while sans computer later today.

11:12pm: So, as per the whole New Year's Resolution and such, I'm on a bit of a fitness kick. Least I'm trying. My diet has improved and I've gotten so I'm exercising at least once a week, right now it's yoga.

My horoscope says that I'm going to feel iffy through about the 7th, might have started that a bit early, but working through it. Also says a friend is going to ask for a favor and I have decide whether it's a good thing or not. Hmmmm....

I've been thinking it might be a good idea to get an exercise buddy.. someone that I can perhaps meet with twice a week and work out with. I'm trying to improve my stamina and flexiblity.

Though, this moment, I'm being bad and noshing on some fried pickles and honey mustard from the Pickle Barrel. MMmm, fatty goodness.

I'm feeling pretty accomplished today besides that. Ate real well until this point, worked 8 hours, came home, did four loads of laundry, 45 minutes of yoga while things washed, ate chicken, onion and couscous for dinner (new addiction food-wise, that Special K red berries and fried pickles), then had a four hour online meeting, which went reasonably well.

da Goat and I are raising moneys for Aeromancer's team for Strides of March, a local AIDS benefit walk. He's raised like $75 so I have some catching up to do. http://myyahoo.volunteermatch.org/results/org_detail.jsp?orgid=31268 for a bit more info.

6:18pm: I've tried and tried and not gotten a reply about being a volunteer at Fantasm.. John666, do I need to tell anyone but you I want to be on registration crew? Since I'm not getting feedback about the consuite?

12:47pm: Well.. an update...

First off, this was amusing.. got a b'day box from my 'rents, opened it up.. the box was for a DVD/CD burner, da Goat and I were happy dancing all over the car... however, it wasn't what was in the box, but got a cool new pair of gold satin pjs. And a card to make an appointment for an eye exam, they're going to pick up the bill. Getting to the point where I have a hard time reading signs while driving, so this is a good thing.

D&D going strong after two weeks, woohoo! *insert happy dance cause I'm gaming again*

Valentine's Day didn't suck.. had a.. *ahem* friend online send me a dirty card & a friend here asked me via phone to be his Valentine, since neither of us are dating.

Then, on the 15th, got to see much bad porn. Yay for porn.

Have sorta started back up with the Cam after a year of being clean. And already having to deal with drama. I adore larping, but not always sure it's worth it. Got asked to run for DC in the next election too, though I suppose I will need to get my membership renewed and perhaps take the ordeals in the next week or two to think about it. Which I am, still pondering it.

Short term goal: to send out at least two resumes a week until I find a new job. My current one is ticking me off.

I'm addicted to Picadilly's salmon patties, get upset when they don't have them.

Have lost about two inches round my waist on my get in better health plan. Basically, I've stopped drinking soda and sweet tea, cut down on fatty foods and I'm attempting to exercise.

2:28am: Birthday weekend
Had the weekend off, slept way in both Sat. and Sun.

Saturday, went out to eat with Jace, Darkangel and da Goat, spent waaaaaay too much money, but it was very very yummy. Was very full afterwards, so after dropping da Goat off at what proved to be a short work shift, lazed around and talked to the other two, till Darkangel had to head off. Hmmm.. new person, not an LJer.. let me think of a name... CrazyGnomishYoungFlirt? Seems long. CGYF? Good enough for now... well, in any case, he came over, we all chilled, watched movies.

Sunday, woke up late, ran to the store, then fixed beefy tomatoey stew stuff. CGYF came over, as did oldGodivaboy and them, me and the roomies played some D&D. CGYF bought pizza for me as a b'day present.

Also, there is a box in the mail from the 'rents.. and they already gave me a cordless drill. So, all in all, much better b'day than I've had in years. Hurrah!

However, the basic, bare bones reasoning comes done to I very rarely leave what I consider personal information on views that just anyone can see. Occasionally on friends only views, but not just open for the world to gaze at. I'm actually a touch parnoid about this.
